Kiyoshi Nakashima

Kiyoshi Nakashima is an artist local to where my mum's aunt lives in Japan (So my memory says). He paints beautiful pictures of Japanese landscapes and young children playing in them. Often the children are sad or crying. I love them because they are melancholy and beautiful.

I just saw a program on NHK-TV about this painter, his life and insight into his way of thinking. Beautiful! Highly recommend it.

I have grown up with some pictures of Kiyoshi Nakajima's without knowing the painter. Thanks to NHK, I now know about it and hope one day soon I'll have the chance to go to Shizuoka and maybe, meet this great painter!

Me too! I saw the program and it was really good. Do you know where I could find an entire version or the other first versions of "Tairyo" or "Big Catch". It's really beautiful. Does anyone remember what the temple's called?

Oh! I wish I had seen it...what was the name of the program? Maybe it'll be online somewhere. Although I guess it is in Japanese and I wouldn't understand much.
