Retap: lovely reusable glass bottle

I like glass bottles because plastic ones get a smell, however much you wash them. And there's the chemicals leeching into your drink thing. And the recycling thing. But mainly.....it just feels nicer to drink from glass. Anyway, I used to reuse glass drinks bottles like Snapple or fancy water, but the metal lids always started rusting! Here is my solution! A retap glass bottle with a silicone lid. It's just the right size, my water tastes delicious and it even looks quite nice.

Kallo rice cakes with tabasco

A delicious mid morning snack. Also, I think not bad for me. And the packets look so pretty together!

I miss Calpis water.

So readily available at every vending machine that dotted every street. So refreshing and delicious. I got this treat at Little Orient, which I discovered today in the Elephant and Castle mall.

Summerill & Bishop

Delicious assortment of vintage kitchenware and new simple, unusual designs. The shop feels so home-y even though its an expensive boutique-y place :) I like.

Daylesford Organic

Lovely simple seductive packaging. Too expensive for me but mmm. I love how thin the heart shaped box of chocolates is.

Colour Your Eggs :D

In a corner shop in Camberwell I found some wonderful things. This retro looking condensed milk with a creepy milk loving child on it (who kind of resembles my dad as a child a little) but even better........powder you boil with your eggs to make your eggs coloured :D This is clearly, CLEARLY genius :D My friend and I had no idea what it was but decided to buy some for the awesome rabbit with eggs packaging...when we asked the shop guy to tell us what it was we were thrilled with the response.
"It's as if someone had eggs and thought, wow, these are really good....but they'd be even better if they were green!" said my friend with glee :)

Cosman & Cake

A lovely day out with my gran today :) She is a fan of Milein Cosman, so we went to see her exhibition at the Austrian Cultural Forum. Her drawings are so full of energy and charm :) We chatted with her as well and she is like her drawings - small and full of life! I'm not the best at talking to folks I don't know but she makes conversation flow.

Also fell in love with Peyton and Byrne. It's the charming bakery next to Heals that I've gazed at as I went past many a time. There is one amongst all the new stuff at St Pancras. Me and my gran had quiche and salad and tea then pear and almond cake :D which was all so extremely good! I'm not even a fan of quiche but it was so good! And the branding is so lovely. Neat and simple with plain white girly cake stands and blocks of fresh pastel colours. Not a fan of pastels either. Or too much girlyness. But this feels clean and fresh and sweet. And I am a fan of good food.

Yesterday I made creamy salmon and leek filo pastry parcels with salad followed by lemon sponge with a yoghurt/cream cheese/sugar concoction because there was no cream. I heart having the time and energy to cook <3 style="text-decoration: underline;">

Sex Noodles!

Last year I got obsessed with sex noodles. I bought because of the deliciously bad packaging...and they turned out to be amazing. Really hot and flavourful. Not uncomfortable burning hot but sweating hot.

But now I think they have changed their packaging, or these may be noodles that taste the same, with the same colour packet and cooking instructions but unconnected with sex noodles

:( I guess I see why the sex packaging had to go...but...
